Tree Lighting Weekend:
Join us for our Christmas tree lighting ceremony as we introduce the host families, sing carols around the tree, and count down as we light our beautiful 20ft live Blue Spruce.

To help with the spirit of generous giving during Christmas, we would like to share the story of who Saint Nicholas* was from history and his great love for the Lord. Included with our normal activities, we will have a guest portraying Saint Nicholas* and doing a story time describing his great generosity to others and care for those in need.

We invite you to give back to our local community with us. During your visit with us, we invite you to give towards the cause of the night. Forest Bend will match your giving dollar for dollar up to a $1,000 max for the weekend. Encourage your kids to bring a dollar or two of their own money to bless someone else. Feel free to also bring any canned goods to be donated to our local food pantry.
On Friday December 11, bring a canned good or a $2 donation and your child can get his or her face painted! (Face painting available only on Dec. 11.)
On December 12-13, see a Black Forest Fire Department fire truck between 5:30pm and 6:30pm, and watch a fire department demonstration! Please note that the engine may need to leave early if there is an emergency call.

We are located a half mile east of Vollmer Road on the south side of Burgess Road. Signs will direct you onto the property.
Forest Bend is taking all necessary precautions to help you have a safe and healthy visit to the farm. We will have a hand washing station as well as numerous bottles of hand sanitizer around property. We also have created kits for cookies, s’mores, and crafts to ensure cleanliness and the possibilities of completing at home instead of on property. We have created more wooden tokens allowing for each token to only be touched by one guest each night. We will sanitize all commonly touched surface at the end of each event.

The BarnNext visit our beautiful, cozy barn to shop in our Christmas store for the perfect Christmas gift, take a family picture, decorate a cookie, and watch our sweet nativity play performed by your own children.
The highlight of your night is sure to be the hayride through Christmas lights while singing along to Christmas music and capturing special family pictures.

Frequently Asked Questions
At Forest Bend Farm, we will do our best to provide a wonderful and safe experience for the whole family. We will be doing extra rounds of sanitation on commonly used surfaces and we have even opened up more areas on the property to allow our guests to space out.
If anyone in your party is not feeling well, please stay home.
Along with selecting the day you’d like to visit, you select an entrance time as well. This is to help us manage the flow of guests and to help things not get overcrowded. There is a certain amount of grace period around that time, if you need to arrive a little earlier or a little later, that should be fine.
For your enjoyment we have:
- The Kids’ Corral – with climbing stumps, live animals, hay stacks, game tables.
- The Tractor Ride – – ride the hay wagon through the lights.
- The Nativity Play – kids can participate in regular showings of the Christmas story where they dress us as the Bible characters and play the parts.
- The Cozy Barn – warm up inside the barn enjoy some piano music, or sit down and work on a craft with your kiddo, or read them a great kid’s book.
For sale at the farm we have hot beverages (cocoa or cider), a s’mores kit for roasting by the fire, a sugar cookie kit that you can decorate in the barn, a selection of kid’s craft kits, and plenty of Christmas gift options for sale in the shop. For payment we take credit cards and cash. No checks are accepted at this time.
We have tried to include activities that are fun for the whole family! The older kids might enjoy the bigger games in the game shed, like the ring game and carpet ball. We have added a number of activities in our ‘game corral’ for the 2020 season. Adults and kids alike have seemed to really enjoy decorating a sugar cookie and sipping on hot cocoa while going on the hayride too.
That’s completely up to you but probably a couple hours. Most of our guests spend about an hour and a half to two hours to enjoy all the activities.
Our event mainly takes place outdoors and it’s best to wear layers and prepare for Colorado weather. We do have several places to warm up including a fire pit, several outdoor heaters, and the barn stays warm with our wood burning stove. The terrain isn’t completely flat so wear boots or comfortable walking shoes. We also have porta-potties available for our guests to use.
Being located directly off of Burgess Road makes us easy to find… however, you will need to pay special attention to the address numbers and be looking for our sign to make sure you turn down our driveway and not our neighbors. We have a large lit up Star of Bethlehem at the entrance off of Burgess Road. The WAZE app takes you directly to our farm.
No, parking is included with your tickets. Just follow the signs all the way back to the parking area and look for the parking attendants that will direct you to a space.
Due to the limited about of space each evening we are only able to honor the reservations that are booked in advance. However, if we are not at full capacity or if you have an addition to your party that you didn’t know of when you booked, then we can sell those tickets at the door.
We will try to stay open for our scheduled nights, even if it’s snowing. We will only cancel if the weather makes it unsafe to travel to or be at the farm. In those cases, we will email those ticket holders to let them know of the change and allow them to choose another date. If your own life circumstances cause you to have to cancel we will also give you the opportunity to reschedule on a different date as well.
You may bring any snacks and drinks for your family. Don’t forget to dress warmly. You may bring strollers for your kiddos.
We do not allow any pets at Forest Bend. Also, all firearms are prohibited.
